HOW TO I EXTEND THE RANGE OF MY CISCO WIRELESS NETWORK?
Hi we have a cisco wireless network heart located in my basement, as thats where a router is attached. In my bureau a upper story we get small to no reception. How can we magnify a operation but purchasing a wifi card? Also, a cisco lacks an athena as well as is incompetent to await one…Thanks!!

I am controlling bell high speed unplugged internet service, it is good since you can pierce it to any city in canada as good as get internet use, yet it do not work with voip phone adapter, they conspicuous it is due to post 5060,

Wireless signal has different polarization, you should try the following:
- move and or rotate your Access Point (change angle of your AP, change angle of your anthena)
- having AP in the basement is one of the worst location because your signal cannot realle get out, bounce over buildings, walls etc, if possible put your AP close to window location
- move your computer that is upstairs, or at least wifi card, if you have USB wifi, attach USB cable extension and try to move around your computer, sometime moving couple inches makes a difference
- if you have linksys AP you could upgrade to DD-wrt and increase signal level
- last resort woulb be to just put a cable and move your AP one level higher (to upstairs or 1st floor)
- purchase range expander

move the router/wireless hub to the middle level, so ground level?
that should have good range both to the basement and the office upstairs.
